About the Job

As a Sales & Consulting Arborist, you’ll leverage your technical expertise and client-facing skills in this fast-paced role. You will work on various projects, from large-scale municipal initiatives to personalized residential tree care, while collaborating with homeowners, foresters, contractors, and a team of tree care professionals.

What You’ll Do

Provide expert recommendations for tree care, plant health, and preservation.

Collaborate with foresters and municipal officials to develop and implement urban forestry plans that enhance community tree canopies.

Consult on high-profile landscaping projects, incorporating innovative tree care solutions.

Work with contractors to protect trees during construction.

Educate homeowners on best practices in tree care.

Empower homeowners to contribute actively to the urban forest and promote a healthier environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Sales

  • Consult & Recommend: Meet with clients, assess their needs, and provide expert tree care and health recommendations.
  • Sales & Proposals: Prepare and present customized proposals to secure project approvals—no cold calling needed, as you’ll leverage an existing client base.
  • Relationship Building: Build lasting relationships with clients by providing exceptional service, ensuring that every project reflects our standards of care and quality.

Project Oversight

  • Manage Projects: Once approved, oversee the execution of tree care projects from start to finish to ensure seamless delivery and a positive experience for every client.

About You

  • You’re passionate about trees and love being outdoors.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can adapt your style to different audiences. You also demonstrate empathy and professionalism in sensitive situations.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
  • Your core motivation is delivering excellent service and building trust with clients.
  • You have a strong understanding of arboriculture and urban forestry and are committed to providing ethical, fact-based recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISA Certified Arborist credentials (or willingness to obtain them).
  • Experience estimating and managing tree care projects, including overseeing projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with Google Suite, CRM systems, and/or GIS software is a plus.
  • A background in anthropology, ecology, or environmental science is a plus.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Sales & Consulting Arborist with demonstrated experience in arboriculture, including hands-on fieldwork such as tree surgery (e.g., pruning and removal), tree health care (e.g., pest and disease management), and risk assessments.

The Ideal Candidate

A professional who is adaptable in dynamic environments, including working under different weather conditions, changing schedules, or switching between residential and municipal projects.

Someone who is a great communicator. Whether chatting with homeowners about their trees or working with contractors to care for trees on a job site, they know how to adjust their approach to suit the audience.

An arborist with experience providing fact-based tree care advice and guiding clients through sensitive decisions, such as tree removal or preservation.

Salary & Commission

This role offers a competitive base salary and a generous quarterly commission structure. Our sales team members earn $100,000+ in gross annual wages, plus benefits.
